Our Story

We realize too late that we don't actually know our parents.

We know the version of them that raised us, but not the dreamer, the risk-taker, or the person who made the sacrifices that put us here today.

This was born from a personal wake-up call: watching my grandmother lose her ability to share her past, and realizing my own parents’ stories were headed for the same silence. We wanted to make knowing them easy, so that when the next generation asks, "Who were they?", you’ll have a beautiful, complete answer.

How it works

1: Receive a Weekly Prompt

Each week, we send your parent a thoughtful question about their life, childhood, or lessons learned.

2: They Reply (Type or Talk)

They simply reply with their story. They can type it out or speak it aloud using voice. Images can be added to bring the story to life

3: A Bound Keepsake is Born

Once the stories are ready, we compile them into a premium hardcover book, complete with photos, to be passed down for generations.

β€œLearning new things about my mum!

Have been using the app for a few days, I like how usable it is, and has helped me uncover new stories about my mum already.”

β€œI always meant to interview my dad about his life, but I never knew where to start and work always got in the way. These prompts do the heavy lifting for us. Last week, I learned about his first job in a way that never would have come up over a standard Sunday dinner. It’s becoming the highlight of my week.”

β€œI’m not a writer, and the idea of sitting down to record my life story felt like a chore. But this felt like a natural conversation. My daughter tells me she’s already started a folder with my responses, and that makes me feel like my experiences truly matter to them.”
